Concept & Interaction

We redesigned the stove by replacing traditional dials with a responsive, soft-touch element that reacts to the physical depth of your cookware. As the pot is pressed deeper into the material, the heat increases and is shown through simple, fire-like animations. The material’s resistance helps you control it by feel.

This makes cooking cleaner and easier, letting you adjust heat with the help of haptic feedback and muscle memory instead of visual verification. For our user group (Stressed Users), the resistance of the silicone material provides grounding haptic feedback, allowing them to adjust the heat without needing to look at the stove. Meanwhile, calming heat animations help users relax and forget their stressful surroundings, making cooking a more enjoyable experience.
